Thin, Traditional Asian Noodles

Celebrated as a miracle food, Shirataki noodles are carbohydrate-free, fat-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, soy-free and lactose-free โ€“ the perfect alternative to dense bread, pasta and grains. These thin, traditional Asian Angel Hair Shirataki Noodles are slim strands of satisfaction, making meals go much further. 

Produced purely from the Japanese konjac root,  Shirataki noodles consist of glucomannan โ€“ a soluble dietary fibre. The plant is similar to our sweet potato but found in eastern countries. Medical studies link its positive effects on people living with type 2 diabetes, obesity, constipation and cholesterol; or those on a low carbohydrate or low GI eating plan.

A great food choice when watching your weight

Shirataki Noodles come 'wok ready' and do not need cooking in the same way as pasta. They are, therefore speedy and easy to prepare and extremely versatile, taking on the flavour of any meal. The bags have a shelf life of 18 months when stored at room temperature. Please note that this product cannot be frozen.


Drain noodles in a colander and rinse for 1 minute under cold running water. Drain off the water. Then there are two methods of cooking, depending on what you're preparing:

When making a stir-fry: Put your wok or your pan on high heat. Add a healthy oil to the pan (we suggest coconut oil, olive oil, peanut oil, or avocado oil). Stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add some low sodium soy sauce, some chilli paste, or some pesto to taste. Add the rest of your ingredients.

When making a saucy dish: Bring water to a boil in a pot, add a dash of salt and boil noodles for 1 minute. Drain well and add your sauce as usual.
