AllisOne Community Forum Guidelines

The AllisOne Community Forum has been created so that you can exchange ideas, converse and meet with others who share a common interest in a safe environment. Every community has its own culture and boundaries, so here are a few guidelines to ensure that everyone benefits in the best way possible.

You need to be a Registered Member and sign in first in order to post your own content or comment on other forum posts. To register, please click on the 'Create an Account' link on the right, below the login boxes. In order to limit spam, your first post will be submitted for moderation, but once successfully published, your posts will be published without moderation. Any posts that don't comply with the guidelines will be removed. On occasion, posts may be moved to a more suitable forum board or topic thread so that they are easier to find or follow; please don't automatically assume your post was removed if it seems to disappear.

Here are some Guidelines and Rules that we ask you to follow:

• The AllisOne Community is about people; use your real name please.
• Please post in the correct forum category and keep your posts relevant to the forum category.
• Please be respectful of others and don’t sweat the small stuff. We’re not all English majors, but please refrain from using SMS abbreviations in the forum.
• Please do not post any personal information or photographs of yourself that you wouldn’t want to disclose to the public at large.
• Do not post hateful, racist, ideological, religious, political or illegal content. No racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, religious intolerance or any other prejudice is allowed. Do not post copyrighted material without proper attribution.
• Please do not use the forum for self-promotion, solicitation, marketing or advertising. SPAM will not be tolerated. Any posts deemed to be advertising or spam will be removed.
• Do not abuse the Private Message system; for example, to advertise or solicit work. Administrators and Moderators will not answer questions sent by Private Message that belong in the forum categories. Abuse of the Private Message system can lead to your Forum membership being removed.
• Do not link to any site that contains adult content, sexually oriented material or might otherwise be considered offensive. Any post containing an inappropriate link will be deleted and the poster will receive a warning.
• Do not discuss illegal activities. Members involved in these types of discussions will be banned.
• Please refrain from sharing lewd photographs or using derogatory, coarse or insulting language.
• Rudeness, personal attacks, bullying, threats or inflammatory posts will not be tolerated.

In summary, use your common sense, treat others as you expect to be treated, and help us build a great community experience for everyone!

Failure to abide by these guidelines

• May result in an editing, negative moderation or deletion of your post.
• We reserve the right to ban abusers from the site.
• We reserve the right to change these guidelines at any time.

If you feel a post violates any of these guidelines, please bring it to the attention of a moderator by reporting it at the bottom of the post.

Getting the most out of this forum.

• As the forum matures and grows with time and becomes populated, we request that you please use the search function before asking a new question; you will very often find the answer is there already.
• Choose titles for your posts that are clear and concise.
• To show appreciation for content, we encourage you to use the ‘Thank You’ button (found under every comment) to share your positive feedback with users. This will help reinforce the proper behavior that we expect of all community members.
• Bookmark a message by selecting ‘Favourite’ from the dropdown Action box above the comments window (or at the very bottom below the page numbering). This will add it to the ‘My Topics’ menu bar for easy future access when you visit.
• Subscribe to a discussion (also from the dropdown Action menu) to get notifications for new comments.
• Update your notification settings. You can set notifications from the ‘Forum Settings’ tab in the Preferences settings found in the dropdown menu under the user icon on the right hand side of the forum menu bar.
• Please add a picture to your profile (small image please).
• Check out the forum from your mobile phone or tablet. Just go to the forum URL in your browser.
